 Kenwood has been at the forefront of developing wireless radio products in technologies such as analogue and digital for over 60 years. From 1947, when it was founded, until today, its products are sold worldwide through subsidiaries, distributors and resellers around the world.
Our company as its representative in Greece, has the opportunity to offer itself or through its partners all possible telecommunications solutions of KENWOOD. Landmarks in its history are the creation of the Founding Company Kasuga Radio Co Ltd in 1946, which was the predecessor of the Kenwood Corporation. In 1955, when the mass production of audio equipment, communications and measuring instruments was established. In 1963 the global presence of the company abroad began. In 1991, sales of PMR free products began and a contract was signed with McLaren as its official wireless radio equipment provider for the Formula 1 Championship. In 1997, it became the first manufacturer in Japan of DAB digital receivers to be installed in vehicles. In 1999 Kenwood develops the first mobile digital broadcast receiving system. In 2005, a technical and capital alliance was formed with the Japanese company ICOM, creating the NXDN digital wireless equipment. In 2008, the founding of JVC Kenwood is announced, which is one of the largest mergers in the field of communications and electronic car systems. All of these have enabled Kenwood today to offer high quality integrated transceiver solutions such as analogue, NXDN, dPMR, DMR, P25 and Full Dublex Dect type communication solutions, NXDN professional radio communication systems, dPMR446, dPMR, DMR and P25.
